The situation of world economy and the specific problems of the marine industry, that had lived years an uncontrolled and unproportioned growth compared to the actual market demand, is putting in serious financial and production troubles both the shipyards and their suppliers.
Also BIOINOX has suffered the insolvencies of a big number of customers and has been forced to reduce the payment terms in order to avoid excessive exposures. Thanks to the strength of its mother company METAL'S and to its relatively lean structure, still in full growth, BIOINOX has been able to quickly re-adjust its production capacity to the slowdown of the market, at the same time continuing to widen and complete its product range.
 
The expansion campaign to the foreign markets, already begun in 2007 in Europe and which extended in 2008 to the United States, South America and Far East, has contributed to find new customers that they are compensating the reduction of the domestic market. Even if we are still going to face difficult months, BIOINOX is firmly convinced that as soon as the economic situation will have stabilized and the financial institutions will start again to distribute credit, that in our market means to finance the purchase of boats, marine business will be one of the first to recover.
The production levels that the shipyards reached in 2007-2008 will probably be a distant memory for years, but we hope that this abrupt shock will give to our business a greater strictness and demand a higher professional level in the management of production and logistics, giving the chance to companies like ours, that has one of its strongest points in the productive cycle scheduling, to show its abilities.
 
BIOINOX reassures its customers, present and future ones, that it will continue its efforts to supply high performance, reliable, fashionable design products. The range of gangways is now completed and in the next few months also the development of other models of cranes will be finished.  Besides BIOINOX is in full development of various kinds of tenderlifts, hydraulic devices for tender movements, and products for megayachts. Another important step is the increasing interaction that BIOINOX is establishing with the most famous naval designers for the co-projecting of hydraulic devices already in the phase of design of the new boats, which will bring exclusive solutions and state-of-the-art products.
